The organization Earshot has published a detailed report stating that it is “highly probable” that demonstrators who participated in a silent protest walk in the center of Belgrade on March 15, 2025, were targeted with directed acoustic weapons.
The research included audio recordings from 19 video clips of the protest, over 3,000 written statements from participants, and 15 interviews with witnesses, so-called “earwitnesses,” who were located along King Milan Boulevard.

These findings directly contradict the claims of the Russian Federation’s security services (FSB) and Serbian authorities, who attributed the disturbances to pyrotechnics and crowd noise.
Earshot emphasizes that, based on the available evidence, it is most likely a sophisticated, directed sound attack, of a type not previously publicly recorded in this region.
