For some time now, there has been talk about what happened at Bežanijska Kosa. One morning everything was painted in red-and-white, even things that should not have been.
And while the government constantly says it has problems balancing the budget and finding money when something is done for the general good, there is indeed money to finance the wishes of fans.
In Ljubinka Bobić Street, curbs, facades, and even walls in parks have been painted in red-and-white colors. In addition, there are graffiti in honor of Red Star.

This is practically a reaction to the fact that Partizan fans previously decorated Karaburma, but this time the municipality, i.e., the taxpayers, financed this act.
Slobodan Maldini, a well-known architect, explained how it all unfolded. He mentioned unidentified persons in hoodies who painted the buildings in the neighborhood.
“After the tenants rebelled and after they called the police. The tenants noted that the buildings are private property, and they repainted what was painted red-and-white into gray. However, the next day they came with a decision from the municipality of Novi Beograd, and they were led by a member of the Municipal Council to protect them from the police. He said that they are an ecological green patrol and that they are painting the whole of Novi Beograd in red-and-white,” Maldini told TV Nova S.

He called on SD Red Star to distance itself from the building painting project; he also pointed out that neighbors are afraid of being physically attacked for expressing their stance. He noted that he called the Communal Militia, but was told that it is all being done only with a municipal decision. Because of that, they are powerless.
“Our children are neither ‘Delije’ nor ‘Grobari’ and they should not be divided. This is a yard that belongs to all children, and not just the red-and-whites. I am telling the municipality of Novi Beograd to disband that ecological patrol and the project of painting Novi Beograd in red-and-white,” Maldini said.
