Nemanja Stajić has been arrested on suspicion of approving the legalization of numerous illegally constructed buildings, RTS has learned. His biological brother, N. S., has also been detained. The arrest of multiple investors is currently underway.
The former head of the Legalization Secretariat in Belgrade, Nemanja Stajić, was arrested on the orders of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office (VJT) in Belgrade, under suspicion of having approved the legalization of numerous illegal constructions.
Members of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP), acting on the orders of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office, have also brought his biological brother, N. S., in for questioning.

According to RTS sources, Stajić was arrested for allegedly approving the legalization of multiple illegally built structures.
Authorities suspect that this allowed investors involved in illegal construction to gain millions of euros in illicit financial benefits.
The arrest of multiple investors linked to these abuses of power and illegal construction projects is currently in progress.
