Four masked men robbed a jewelry store in West Seattle, stealing about $2 million worth of jewelry and luxury items in less than two minutes, police said.
The incident happened on Thursday afternoon. Surveillance cameras captured the suspects using hammers to smash through a locked glass door and, in just 90 seconds, emptying six display cases. This included a case with Rolex watches valued at $750,000 and an emerald necklace worth $125,000, ABC News reports.
“We’re pretty shaken up as employees. We’ll be closed for a while,” Josh Menashe, vice president of the family-owned jewelry store, told the media. He added that workers began assessing the total damage after cleaning up the shattered glass.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the report, but the robbers had already fled in a vehicle and evaded the search.
