Several members of the family of the man who attacked a synagogue on Thursday in the American state of Michigan were killed last week in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, a Lebanese official told the American network NBC News.
Ayman Mohamed Ghazali drove a car through the doors of a synagogue in the United States and exchanged gunfire with security before being killed at the scene.
Ghazali is originally from Mashghara, a town in the Beqaa Valley in Lebanon, reports Sky News.

In recent Israeli airstrikes on that town, two of Ghazali’s adult brothers were killed, as well as his niece and nephew, the official said.
According to him, the two brothers were known as members of Hezbollah, a militant group supported by Iran, although it is not clear what exact role they had in that organization.
