Model Jelena Egorova, who is originally from Mongolia, allegedly represents Serbia at the Miss Universe pageant. Insults towards her were lined up on social networks.

Her parents moved from Mongolia to Russia in 1982, where she was born in 1997. Elena, as her birth name is, completed crypto-economics studies at Moscow State University. So far, she has won numerous titles, including Miss Grand Mongolia 2022 and Miss Earth Middle East 2024. She is currently staying in Thailand, where preparations are underway for the Miss Universe pageant, which will be held on November 21.
After the official Miss Universe account on social networks introduced Jelena, numerous reactions followed from those who believe that a Mongolian woman should not represent Serbia.
“A kind reminder that Serbia does not have a representative at Miss Universe this year. The person carrying the Serbian flag is not of our nationality, does not speak the language and bought a Serbian passport in 2024,” they wrote on the official Instagram page of Miss Universe Serbia.
Jelena Egorova did not comment on this, and continues to publish a part of the atmosphere from the preparations for Miss Universe.
