Tomislav Momirović, Minister of Internal and External Trade, has submitted his resignation today, media reports.
“I am informing you that I am resigning from the position of Minister of Internal and External Trade. I am grateful to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, for his trust and honors. I will always be there for him and for Serbia,” Momirović stated in a written resignation that he submitted to the President of the Government of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, Tanjug reported.
In Ana Brnabić’s government, from 2020 to 2022, Momirović held the position of Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, after which he was elected Minister of Internal and External Trade for two terms.

Before Momirović, Goran Vesić resigned on November 5th from the position of Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, due to public pressure after the collapse of the canopy at the entrance to the Novi Sad Railway Station, in which 14 people died, and one later succumbed to their injuries. Two more people are in critical condition in the hospital.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated last night that “new resignations are expected as early as tomorrow” in connection with the accident in Novi Sad.
