Milorad Milinković, a chaser from “The Chase” passed away yesterday. Director Milorad Milinković passed away suddenly at the age of 60.

Renowned director, screenwriter, and chaser in the popular quiz show “The Chase,” Milorad Milinković, passed away on Monday evening, Tanjug was told at the Film Center of Serbia.

Milinković died from a severe heart attack in the churchyard at the age of 60, the media reports.

According to witnesses, Milinović went to take communion in the village church and collapsed in the churchyard when he came out. Milinković’s body was then transferred to the chapel of the Negotin hospital.

He had come to Jabukovac to celebrate Christmas, unaware that his health was failing. Milinković died from a severe heart attack in the churchyard at the age of 60.

One eyewitness told Telegraf that the famous Chaser was lighting a candle when he fell ill. In front of the church, there is almost no one today. The Telegraf reporter only encountered a man in a nearby pub who saw what happened this morning.

“He bent down to light a candle, but soon collapsed. The villagers tried to help him, brought him water, but he was motionless. The ambulance, which arrived at the scene, could practically only confirm death,” people told Telegraf. They add that everything happened in the early morning hours.

Milinković’s body was then transferred to the chapel of the Negotin hospital. The date and place of the funeral will be announced later.

Who was Milorad Milinković?

Milinković was born in Belgrade in 1965.

He was also a singer, songwriter, DJ, and football commentator.

Milinković’s most famous works are “Dead Cold”, “Chase for Luck”, and “Obituary for Escobar”.

He directed the first Serbian film shot in 3D technology – “Fifth Butterfly”. Milinković was also a former singer, songwriter, DJ, and football commentator. He was the vocalist and guitarist of the rock bands Morbidi and Mnoći and later a member of the bands Big Sex and Zmajevi.

He was born in Belgrade. He graduated from the Mathematical Gymnasium in his hometown in 1983. He enrolled at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad where he graduated in 1991, majoring in directing.

Milinković also became known as a chaser in the quiz show “The Chase”. He wrote two books: “Phantom Tram, or, The Strange Experiences of My Friend Sima and His Legacy in Five Books” and “Dead Cold and Legless, or, Even After Tito, Tito”.
