BiH is the only colony in Europe, and the only civilizational and human justice is for it to be separated”, stated the President of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, asserting that the RS will not allow the political process of transferring power, because it does not want Muslims to be the ones deciding the fate of the Serbian people.

Dodik made this statement while a guest on the podcast of American journalist Lara Logan, speaking about pressure from the West, the political persecution he has faced—especially from the ranks of U.S. Democrats—due to his open support for Donald Trump.

Dodik emphasized that U.S. President Donald Trump is a man who can bring peace and stability to the world, meaning he can return it to what Dodik called “factory settings,” where achieved values of civilization and local cultures are respected, rather than liberal tendencies.

He particularly addressed the role of former Democratic administrations, stressing that they had inflicted much evil upon Serbs and had needlessly demonized them.

— “We believe today that America can help us, not in the sense that Trump should restore support to me—I don’t want that—I want the injustice that was continuously done by Clinton, Obama, and Biden, who conducted an experiment here, to be corrected. There was no reason for Bosnia and Herzegovina to be unified after the war; that was Madeleine Albright’s experiment,” Dodik said.

The consequence of these experiments is that BiH is today the only colony in Europe, where 280 laws have been imposed over the past 30 years, and 900 people have been removed from office, said Dodik, adding that no one is interested in returning to the original Dayton Agreement.

For this reason, the Republika Srpska has called a referendum in which citizens will vote on the decisions of Christian Schmidt, the CEC (Central Election Commission), and the Court of BiH. If the will of the people is not respected, a new referendum will be held to seek independence.

— “That is why I think the only realistic and right thing for us is to secure our independence from BiH. This is not separatism; we created BiH through a contract, and we can only withdraw from that contract, we cannot be separatists,” Dodik stated.

He stressed that he supports the constitutional BiH, but not the unconstitutional one. Because of this, he stated, those working against Republika Srpska were interested in having his presidential mandate revoked, and they are now calling for snap presidential elections, which no one in Republika Srpska wants.

— “I wouldn’t have a problem if someone from the SNSD was nominated and won those elections. Our support is great at this moment. The party itself is close to a simple majority, and my support is 62 percent. I have no fear of elections, but that is not the point here; the point is that the Constitution of the Republika Srpska says that the president can only be changed by resignation or a recall referendum,” Dodik pointed out.

He stated that it is difficult to be the President of Republika Srpska, against which a hybrid war has been waged for 30 years. There is no moment, he says, when the RS is not subjected to pressure, and that is why he places high hopes in the administration of President Donald Trump, or a change in U.S. policy toward BiH, which would entail clearing the Democrats’ legacy in a similar way as it is being done in the United States.

Trump’s policy is a policy of hope, Dodik concluded, and that is why the Serb member of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize, but the other two members of the BiH Presidency rejected it.
