After political Sarajevo once again rejected the dialogue on the functioning of BiH, which was called for by the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, he says that Republika Srpska and the Serbian people would accept BiH based on the Constitution and the Dayton Agreement, but that Bosniak politicians have never accepted the existence of Republika Srpska.
“All politics in BiH comes down to an attempt to undermine and disappear Republika Srpska, not to strengthen BiH,” Dodik said and pointed out:
“To disenfranchise and seize competencies, and not to effectively implement those entrusted to joint institutions by the Constitution. Let’s stop lying to each other – that’s the cause of all problems. BiH, 30 years after Dayton, is neither an independent nor a sovereign country. That is a fact, no matter how much many people don’t like it.”
Dodik asked on the X platform: “How is BiH independent and sovereign when the supreme power is a foreigner?”
“What people’s sovereignty are we talking about when the supreme power is an individual whom no one voted for? What are we talking about when that individual can repeal every decision of the government that came from the people? What sovereignty are we talking about when any decision can be imposed outside the legitimate authorities? Are you aware that for the football team, an individual who does not have the citizenship of that country cannot play, and in BiH the highest authority can be a person without citizenship and in the Constitutional Court judges without citizenship can judge?” Dodik stated and asked:
“Are you aware that BiH is the only country in the world where this happens? Are you aware that BiH is the only country in the world about which the UN Security Council discusses its internal relations?”

The President of Republika Srpska pointed out that instead of fighting for the abolition of the protectorate, BiH resists becoming a normal country.
“Everything was done backwards. Every country rests on the constitution, only BiH outside the constitution. To prove this to you, here are just examples of Croatia and Serbia. ‘Article 5 – In the Republic of Croatia, laws must be in accordance with the Constitution, and other regulations with the Constitution and the law. Everyone is obliged to abide by the Constitution and the law and respect the legal order of the Republic of Croatia. Hierarchy of domestic and international general legal acts,'” Dodik wrote and stated:
“Article 194 – The Constitution is the highest legal act of the Republic of Serbia. All laws and other general acts adopted in the Republic of Serbia must be in accordance with the Constitution. Confirmed international treaties and generally accepted rules of international law are part of the legal order of the Republic of Serbia. Confirmed international treaties must not be contrary to the Constitution.”
In BiH, he pointed out, there are hundreds of laws that are not in accordance with the Constitution.
“In BiH there are hundreds of bodies and institutions that do not exist in the Constitution. Will anyone say that this is normal? I only ask that BiH be normal. So, there is not a single people on the globe who have given up their right to sovereignty or autonomy. Not one. The Serbian people will not either. And this is not a question of me as a politician or my party, it is a supra-party position,” said the President of Republika Srpska.
He emphasized that people “here unanimously love Republika Srpska regardless of the fact that they may not equally love all political parties” and said:
“And that is normal for every democratic society. We do not hate BiH. Respect Republika Srpska.”
