Incumbent Croatian President Zoran Milanović convincingly won the second round of the presidential election against his opponent, Dragan Primorac (HDZ), even in areas with a larger number of members of the Serbian national minority.
In Vukovar, where the mayor is Ivan Penava, the leader of the Homeland Movement, which is in coalition with the HDZ in power, Milanović received 4,463 votes, and Primorac only 2,816.
In Negoslavci, he received 88% of the votes, in Borovo as much as 96%, and in Beli Manastir 69% of the votes. In Biskupija, Milanović received 91% of the votes, in Ervenik 98%, in Kistanje 74%, in Krnjak 77%, in Vojnić 73%, in Donji Lapac 82%, in Vrhovine 90%, and in Dvor 84% of the votes.

In the Municipality of Civljane, where only 37 citizens have the right to vote, Milanović received 100% of the votes.
That is why Milanović, in his victory speech, specifically thanked the votes of national minorities in Croatia.
“Thank you for the votes of Croatian national minorities, this is their homeland and it will always be their and our Croatia,” Milanović said in Zagreb’s Tvornica kulture, greeted by thunderous applause.
