The students of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade announced today that they will talk and debate with the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, only during the election campaign, Beta reports.

Regarding Vučić’s invitation for a debate, the students stated on the social network “X” that the president “obviously” has no answer to the popular uprising.

“The president invited us to a public debate. He obviously has no answer to the popular uprising, so now he wants to talk to us whom he has been calling terrorists for months. We will debate about visions and programs for the future, in the election campaign, when he calls elections,” said the students of the Faculty of Philosophy in the blockade.

The students of the Faculty of Philosophy also wrote on their X account:

“Just so you know, we don’t know who the student representatives are that the president is inviting, but we know who they are not.”

ETF STUDENTS

The students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF) in the blockade announced on X that they would repeat a tweet from a few months ago.

“While from the state there have been only beatings and open threats for months, which are getting worse every day. During the election campaign, there is room for debate. That awaits us after the elections are called,” the students stated.

INVITATION TO DEBATE

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, invited, as he said, representatives of the “students in the blockade” to a debate in front of all the cameras.

“I propose a conversation and a debate on all our television stations and portals, with the legitimate representatives they choose. I am ready against… and not against, I apologize, and that is what confirms my mistakes… I am ready to enter into a dialogue, a public debate, with three or four people who think differently. They have the right to demand that from their president, including elections and everything else,” Vučić said.

He added that he would be ready to listen to them.

“Not to defeat them in some kind of TV debate, but to find solutions together. It is time for each of us to show our faces, to show faces and programs. I want to create a battle of visions, a battle for the future, to solve it with dialogue and conversation, without conflict and violence. To rebuild the country again and put it back on the right track and for people to be satisfied. I will do my best to show that respect,” Vučić stated.
