The Serbian diaspora in America is waking up! Today in Chicago, the Serbian-American Political Action Committee (PAC) was established, aiming to achieve what previous generations could not: to make the Serbian community in the U.S. politically relevant and to use this for the benefit of Serbia and Serbs both at home and abroad.
In the statement issued for the occasion, it says:
“We will attempt to make a historic leap forward for the Serbian-American community by pooling all the resources and people we have at our disposal for the benefit of us all. The goal of the Serbian-American PAC is to increase the presence and relevance of the Serbian-American community in U.S. political life and to foster closer ties between the Serbian and American people. Recognizing the crucial importance of activism on one hand and financial support on the other, the PAC will strive to provide a unified platform capable of fulfilling both aspects,” the statement received by the Serbian Times editorial office says. It continues:
“Historically, the contributions of the Serbian-American community have been fragmented, unfocused, and lacked sufficient financial support. We believe this will change as we unite the efforts of the entire community under one strong initiative.”
According to Serbian Times, the Serbian-American Political Action Committee was established at the initiative of five Serbian-American businessmen (Ranko Ristić, Filip Milivojević, Zoran Berić, Dan Micić, Goran Petković), who have provided significant financial support to presidential candidate and now-elected President Donald Trump over the past several years, especially at the start of his campaign.

Founders of the Serbian-American PAC with prominent Republicans: Vivek Ramaswamy, Senators Marco Rubio and Tim Scott, and Governor Kristi Noem.
“They donated large six-figure sums at a time when Trump was written off and abandoned, when few believed in his return to the White House, and when he was under attack from numerous investigations and heavily criticized by the media. Trump, his team, and his family have not forgotten who stood by him during the toughest election campaign. They anticipate opportunities to contribute to improving relations between Serbia and the U.S. in the next four years, as well as organizing and mobilizing the large Serbian community in the region,” a source close to the organization told our portal.
In their first public address, the PAC founders emphasized their dedication to mobilizing the Serbian-American community during this pivotal moment in American history.
“The time to act is now, not tomorrow,” they stressed.
The Serbian-American PAC launched with an initial fund of $250,000, and its financial operations will be fully transparent.
“As founders, we have an ambitious plan to raise at least $1 million this year. We invite all Serbs in America to join and support this historic effort,” the statement concluded.
