In a packed hall of the legendary Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, the premiere of the long-awaited film “Storm Rider” was held, directed and written by the Serbian-Croatian duo Zoran Lisinac – Domagoj Mažuran and produced by the well-known Hollywood producer of our origin – Neb Chupin!
At the premiere there was a blend of Hollywood, Belgrade’s FEST and the Pula Arena: Among the guests were well-known film stars, influencers and journalists, and among them one famous name from the NBA league – the captain of the Serbian national team Bogdan Bogdanović, who after the premiere told us that he had a great time and that he was “thrilled by the fact that our people managed to make such a film in Hollywood!”
Bogdan’s enthusiasm was shared by all 900 viewers who greeted the film crew with ovations after the lights in the hall turned on.
“Storm Rider” is a new science-fiction hit, with an original story, excellent acting and top production,” could briefly summarize the impressions after the premiere.
And that is not surprising, because the film gathered a great acting cast, with nothing but big names appearing on screen: James Cosmo (Game of Thrones), Caroline Goodall (Schindler’s List), Marco Ilsø (Vikings), Sara Sofie Boussnina (Dune: Sisterhood), Gilles Geary (The Islander). Alongside them, our regional stars also shined in their episodes: Goran Bogdan, Sergej Trifunović and Ivana Dudić, who was the only one of our actors who managed to come to the premiere.

Our Ivana shined on the red carpet, dazzling Hollywood colleagues with her beauty and elegance, and we caught her while she was posing with the film’s authors, Domagoj Mažuran and Zoran Lisinac, whom we remember for directing and writing the timeless domestic blockbuster “Toma”.

But the scene that surprised everyone was the line stretching in front of the famous Saban Theatre long after the film had already started.
“Although Tom Cruise and director Guillermo del Toro were at another event that evening, all the media and influencers came to the premiere of ‘Storm Rider’, because people were posting posts from the reception before the film itself, everyone was writing praises, so those who saw it rushed to see what was happening – that is why that line formed outside,” Chupin points out and adds that the film has already received excellent reviews in the media, but that his greatest satisfaction is when people from his own producing profession praise it.
“The CEO of Atlas Entertainment, who works on big studio films, told me that he was very impressed. I think we did an excellent job in the production and promotion of the film,” Neb Chupin proudly says.
And another first-hand impression: Belgrade’s Tašmajdan and Kalemegdan, as well as the Croatian Adriatic coast, the locations where the film was shot, proved to be perfect scenery for a science-fiction Hollywood film, so here is a task for those in Serbia and Croatia who deal with this to bring even more films in the future because we certainly have a lot to offer to the world.
It should be recalled that among the executive producers of the film were two more Serbs, Vladimir Lisinac and Miroslav Mogorović, and that “Storm Rider” was created with the support of the Film Incentives Program of the Republic of Serbia.
The exclusive Serbian premiere of the film is expected in Belgrade on April 9, after which the film will be shown in all cinemas across Serbia in distribution by MegaCom Film.
