Saša Borisov, a citizen of Bela Crkva, was physically attacked by the President of the Municipal Assembly of Bela Crkva, Marjan Aleksić, and members of his family, according to claims made to N1 by his daughter, Stefana Borisov.

According to her account, Borisov was in his car today passing by a café owned by Marjan Aleksić. Seeing him in front of the establishment, Borisov shouted that he held Aleksić responsible for the fact that his employment contract at Poštanska štedionica (Postal Savings Bank) was not renewed. The family claims that Borisov lost his job specifically because of his participation in student and civic protests, where he was also engaged as a marshal (redar), and had faced serious pressure as a result.

The Attack in Front of the Police Station

Following that remark, Borisov’s daughter claims that Marjan Aleksić’s sons ran out of the café and began hitting Borisov’s car. Borisov then drove toward the nearest police station, but Aleksić and his sons reportedly followed him in another vehicle.

Upon arriving in front of the police building, Borisov was allegedly pulled out of his car and physically assaulted. Police then intervened, but according to the family, Marjan Aleksić was not detained.

Saša Borisov gave a statement to the police and is currently undergoing a medical examination. His daughter also claims that the President of the Municipal Assembly threatened him after the attack, warning him not to go for a medical exam.

Citizens Gather in Support

A crowd of citizens gathered in front of the Bela Crkva Health Center to provide support to Saša Borisov and demand accountability from the authorities.

The N1 editorial office has sent inquiries to Marjan Aleksić, and the public will be informed of his response in due course.
