The national airline of Serbia, Air Serbia, announced today that it continues to expand its network of routes in 2026, introducing six new destinations connecting Belgrade with tourist, business, and adventure centers around the world.
It was stated that during the upcoming summer season, Air Serbia will introduce three new routes, namely to Santorini in Greece, Baku in Azerbaijan, and Toronto in Canada, while in the winter season, it will introduce direct flights to Tenerife and Seville in Spain and Tromsø in Norway.
It was pointed out that Baku, Santorini, Seville, Tenerife, and Tromsø will be in Air Serbia’s flight network for the first time, while the direct air route to Toronto is being established after thirty years, when the last JAT flight between Belgrade and this Canadian city was realized.
As stated, this selection of destinations represents the result of the strategic development of Air Serbia and a response to the growing interest of passengers in diverse tourist and business centers, which simultaneously strengthens the connection of Belgrade with key world destinations.
The Greek island of Santorini, as a new destination of the national air carrier, will be available from April 30, 2026; the first flight of the direct air route to Baku, with which Air Serbia expands its presence in the Caucasus region, is announced for May 3; while the first flight to Toronto is scheduled for May 23.
As added, the first flight to Seville in the winter season of next year is planned for September 30, while the first direct flight to Tenerife from Belgrade is planned for October 27, and for Tromsø on December 14.
It was assessed that such diversification of routes contributes to the reduction of seasonality and better utilization of the fleet, encouraging travel, especially during the winter months.
