The Serb List has strongly condemned today’s, as they say, unprovoked attack on their MPs in the Pristina assembly by the MPs of Albin Kurti and the Assembly President Glauk Konjufca, who abused his position and prevented the elected representatives of the Serb people from attending the session.
The Serb List states in a press release that during the attack on the MPs, among them was MP Olivera Zdravković, who is pregnant.
“This unprecedented attack is a defeat for democracy and the rule of law, but also the best example of the position of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija under the regime of Albin Kurti, who daily suffers institutional violence and physical terror from Pristina,” the Serb List said.
They are proud, they say, that Kurti is attacking them because it only confirms that they stand in his way of expelling everything Serb.
“They won’t stop us from representing our Serb people!”
They also point out that it should now be clear to everyone why Kurti is doing everything to eliminate the Serb List and provide himself with Serbs he prefers who will work in his interest, not the interest of the Serb people.
“Nothing will stop us from representing our Serb people,” is the message of the Serb List.
They add that Kurti, aware that he has nothing to offer his voters whom, they say, he has deceived throughout his term, wants to gain cheap political points on the card of nationalism.
The Serb List demands a strong condemnation of today’s attack on the MPs and a reaction from embassies, primarily the US, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, as well as the European Union, OSCE, UNMIK.
“And all those who are most called upon to protect the rights of the Serb people and prevent Kurti from persecuting everything Serb, because the Serb List was elected by the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija and this is primarily an attack on their rights,” the statement concludes.
