Miloš Subotić from North Kosovska Mitrovica was brutally beaten by members of the so-called Kosovo police in a police station in North Mitrovica, the Serbian Democratic Party announced.

In a statement, the Serbian Democratic Party condemned the police repression, which, they say, is on the rise, and called on international organizations and embassies to take concrete measures to end the repression against Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija.

The Serbian Democratic Party published a video on social networks showing Subotić’s

arrest and the injuries he sustained.

As Subotić recounted, he was taken to a room in the police station without cameras, where he was brutally beaten by police officers, although, as he emphasized, he did not resist arrest at any point.

He stated that he was not told why he was arrested.

He said he received eight slaps and a punch to the chest.

Subotić added that he was released from the police station after several hours and went to the hospital, where his injuries were confirmed.

Office for Kosovo and Metohija: Beating of Subotić proves that Pristina is applying Gestapo methods against Serbs The Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced that yesterday’s beating of Serb Miloš Subotić from Kosovska Mitrovica in a police station once again confirms that Pristina is now routinely applying Gestapo methods of intimidation and violence against members of the Serbian people.

The Office’s statement emphasizes that excessive use of force and police torture have long been a daily occurrence in the north of the AP of Kosovo and Metohija and that it is clear that acts of violence and torture against Serbs have only one goal – intimidation for the purpose of expelling and ethnically cleansing the northern part of the province.

It is emphasized that Serbia will continue to systematically record all attacks on Serbs, because the perpetrators will have to face justice.

The Office points out that the international presence in the AP of Kosovo and Metohija is obliged, in accordance with international law and regulations that should be applied on the ground, to prevent torture against Serbs and all open violations of the human rights of the Serbian people.

“In the coming weeks, the UN Security Council will consider a new six-month UNMIK report on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, and Serbia will use this opportunity to draw the attention of the world public to all forms of physical and legal violence that the regime of Aljbin Kurti is carrying out against Serbs,” the statement said.
