The Basic Court in Priština approved the request of the Special Prosecutor’s Office to issue domestic and international arrest warrants for 11 Serbs as part of the investigation related to the setting up of barricades in the north of Kosovo and Metohija in 2022.

The news was confirmed to Albanian media by Arbnora Ljuta, spokesperson for the Special Prosecutor’s Office, who announced that Milan Radoičić is among the suspects.

The investigations relate to the case of setting up barricades in four northern municipalities in the north of KiM in 2022, and according to Ljuta, the case is large-scale.

“During the investigation, we can confirm that there are about 50 persons, for criminal offenses: obstruction of an official in performing official duty, incitement to resistance, and association for unconstitutional activities,” Ljuta stated.

She added that the case is currently in the investigation phase and that the public will be informed in a timely manner about other actions.

“Given that the case is in the investigation phase, we currently cannot provide more information,” Ljuta said.
