Duško G. (56), who is suspected of having brutally killed Aleksandra Šarković (44) on February 6 in Babičkog odreda Street, was the best man at her wedding to Dejan Šarković, who died in 2017 on St. Nicholas Day in an explosion caused by an explosive device, “Blic” has learned.
This fact opens the path toward determining the real motive for the murder of which Duško G. from Niš is suspected.
- Duško and the late Dejan knew each other from the time when Šarković worked as security. At that time, they decided to further strengthen their close friendship, so Dejan decided to take Duško as his best man when he proposed to Aleksandra – a source from “Blic” says.
Duško also spent some time abroad, and according to unofficial information, in prison as well, due to narcotics and violence.
Whether there is something in the history of their relationship that Duško could have held against Dejan, who in the meantime died in a bomb explosion, remains a task that a thorough police and prosecutorial investigation will have to answer.
The possibility is not ruled out that Duško tried to shift the burden of possible unresolved relations with his late best man Dejan onto the murdered woman, who definitely was not a person from that milieu.
Unofficially, Duško also had certain psychological problems and a diagnosis which, it is suspected, fueled delusional thoughts that Aleksandra had something to do with his arrest or some situation in his life.
A hard-working woman and devoted mother
All those who knew Aleksandra, however, say that she was a completely upright person. A former handball player for DIN, in the neighborhood where she lived she was known as a caring mother of two children she had from two marriages. Recently, after retirement and the death of her father who ran an apple cider vinegar factory, she also proved herself to be a successful entrepreneur who never neglected her obligations toward her children because of work.
Perhaps precisely because of that, Aleksandra, who was not a person from the criminal world, did not report the threats made by the suspect Duško G., believing that there was no real reason why someone would harm her, fearing that due to Duško’s short temper, reporting the threats might only make things worse.
Let us recall, the woman was returning home after dropping her child off at kindergarten, and that is where the killer was waiting for her.
The suspect in this morning’s murder of Aleksandra Šarković (43) in Babičkih odreda Street, in the Niš municipality of Palilula, was arrested several hours after the crime.
