The European Taekwondo Federation has suspended Valmir Fetiu, a taekwondo coach from so-called Kosovo, for six months for slapping his 8-year-old competitor, who is also his daughter, at the European Children’s Championship in Tirana.

According to the media in Pristina, the coach is suspended from all international and domestic activities for six months.

The competition supervisory board made the decision, explaining that the coach was “physically aggressive” towards his competitor at the end of the fight.

At the European Taekwondo Championship in Tirana for girls aged six to eight, the coach, who is also the father of the competitor from so-called Kosovo, Valina Fetiu, slapped her after she lost the final match against Serbian representative Nina Savić.
