Famous American journalist Katie Windge shared a video of Nikola Jokić pronouncing his son Ignjat’s name.
Denver defeated Golden State 119:115, and after the match, the Serbian center talked about his son Ignjat.
Katie shared a video clip where Jokić can be heard pronouncing his son’s name. It was difficult for her to understand, so she asked the fans to write it down for her letter by letter.
“Serbian friends, I need help! Nikola Jokić shared his son’s name after the game tonight, but I have no idea how to spell it. Also, does this name have any special meaning?” the journalist wrote.

Of course, her request was soon granted, and they explained to her how there is a connection between Ignjat and Ognjena, the name of the Serbian center’s daughter.
In 40 minutes on the court, he scored 38 points with 10 rebounds and six assists, but some of his moves were true masterpieces (like a pass through a forest of hands), and one of them was an isolation attack.
With 1:20 left in the game, Jokić was left alone against Steph Curry, and the smallish playmaker expected Jokić to try to attack him in the paint. Jokić decided to fake a pass, and Curry was completely confused. He looked left, then right, saw that the ball was nowhere to be found, and when he turned half a second later he realized it was too late.
Jokić against Golden State
Jokić is playing the basketball of his life (as can be seen in the statistics), and what he is doing with Denver is truly impressive. In the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, he also defeated the Golden State Warriors 119:115.
He finished the match, where he spent a whopping 40 minutes on the court, with 38 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and even five steals (tied with Magic Johnson with 138 triple-double performances). Follow the reactions of his opponents when he does something. When he posts up under the basket, they just move away as if it has to be a basket, when he cuts through the entire defense with a pass they look helplessly, and when he performs some other move they already grab their heads.
Just like his teammates when he does something that surprises them too. Watch Jokic’s last points at the moment when Denver was losing 115:113 with 1:25 left in the game. He shot so softly that the ball literally walked back into the basket.
Jokic is setting records in every statistical category, so he tied Larry Bird and James Harden in terms of 35/10/5/5 performances. This is now his third in his career.
