Nikola Jokić will most likely play the game against the Los Angeles Clippers, reported Shams Charania.
After it was announced that the three-time MVP would be sidelined for a longer period due to a knee hyperextension, it appears that the Serbian star has nevertheless recovered quickly.
“It is planned that Nikola Jokić, who has been out since December 29 due to a knee injury, returns to the court tonight in the home game against the Los Angeles Clippers, sources told ESPN. Jokić is now in a position to also play in Sunday’s derby against Oklahoma in Denver and to meet the requirements for seasonal awards,” Shams wrote.
According to the latest Nuggets injury report, Jokić has been ruled out for the upcoming home game against the Detroit Pistons — which will be his 15th consecutive missed game due to a knee injury — and this status update comes exactly four weeks after the club first announced the injury back in December.
After it was announced that the three-time MVP would be sidelined longer due to a knee hyperextension, the team set a four-week timeline for a reevaluation of Jokić’s condition, which pushed his potential return to the end of January. The injury itself appeared bizarre due to the involvement of a teammate.
