Nikola Jokić had another historic night in Denver’s home win over Miami, 122–112, with a triple-double rarely seen!
The Serbian national team star scored 33 points with an excellent shooting percentage (12–18), but the rest of his stat line was simply brutal: 16 assists, 15 rebounds, and 3 steals!
Nikola did whatever he wanted on the court, witnessed by another Serbian Nikola — Jović — who could only come to terms with his team’s defeat in what was not a great game for him, finishing with 5 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds.
For the Nuggets, Jokić received support from Gordon, who continues to shine this season and added 24 points and 6 rebounds, as well as Tim Hardaway Jr., who made a major contribution off the bench with 18 points, and Murray, who scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Among the defeated, Powell stood out with 23 points, followed by Jaquez with 21.
Denver now sits fourth in the Western Conference with a 5–2 record, while Miami has dropped to ninth place in the East with a 4–4 record.
The Nuggets will continue their home stretch on Friday against their big nemesis, Golden State, who beat them in the season opener after Denver held a significant lead in the first half.
