How to love one’s country and preserve nature, for several years now, Ivan Jakovljević from Rudnik, better known to everyone as Ivo Car, has been showing by his personal example and the example of his children, who turned an ordinary meadow into a real attraction called Serbian Hollywood.
Ivo Car has been organizing ecological actions for several years, which aim to collect garbage next to the main road on Rudnik. In this action, he is helped by his family, friends and neighbors with the support of the local government.
“We have implemented another ecological action “For a cleaner Rudnik”. We managed to clean a 4.7 kilometer section, on both sides, from Šofer kafana to the pump on Rudnik. To my great joy, there have never been more of us, a record 22 participants. We started at nine o’clock from the intersection at Bućino Grob, 17 of us, while, at the same time, members of the “Vile Rudnika” association Veka, Nada and Nena, in the company of Stefan Badža and the president of the local community Rudnik Milovan Nikolić, started towards us from the pump on Rudnik,” Ivan said for RINA.
He adds that they were lucky because the weather was in their favor and in an hour and a half they managed to thoroughly clean the entire section.
“After finishing the job, at the invitation of Dragan and Danka, the owners of the restaurant Kota 555, we took a break to have breakfast in their restaurant. I thank them for the support they gave us and are giving us, not only this year, but also in previous years during the implementation of the ecological action,” said Jakovljević.
For the first time on Rudnik, an “ecological flower” was “planted”, which was built of sheet metal and metal construction, and Ivan made it with his children.

“After breakfast, we decided to clean the section along the Ibar highway, from Bućino Grob to Šofer kafana. Before starting to clean that section, we placed the “Ecological flower” next to the turn onto the Ibar highway from the direction of Rudnik. The idea is that the “Eco flower” will help us raise ecological awareness and that there will be less garbage for the next ecological action. The cleaning lasted until 2 pm, we collected a total of over 70 bags of garbage. After finishing, we had lunch prepared for us by Maja and Rade, the owners of the restaurant “Glumac”,” said Ivan Jakovljević.
He expressed his gratitude above all to his wife and children, then to his friends who supported him and participated. The garbage they collected was taken over by JKSP “Gornji Milanovac”.
