Former American President Donald Trump and the Republican candidate for this year’s presidential election brought tech billionaire Elon Musk on stage during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the site where he was shot at mid-July, sustaining minor injuries.

From the rally, Trump urged supporters to deliver him victory in the elections.

“Twelve weeks ago, we all received a bullet for America. All I ask is for everyone to get out and vote. We must win”, Trump emphasized, according to AP.

Standing behind bulletproof glass, he called his assailant a “malignant monster” and added that the attack failed thanks to “God’s will and grace.”

In his address to the thousands of Trump supporters, Musk reiterated many points used in the campaign by the former president and his vice presidential candidate, Jay D. Vance. The tech entrepreneur, who founded Tesla and SpaceX and bought the social platform X (formerly Twitter), described the presidential election scheduled for November 5 as “the most important election of our lifetime.”

“The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms,” Musk told the crowd, adding:

“They want to take away your right to vote.”

At the rally location in Butler, Thomas Kruks, 20, from Pennsylvania, shot at the former president on July 13, injuring him in the right ear and killing a retired fire chief in the process. The assailant was killed by security forces.

“President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America”, Musk said.

“If he doesn’t, this will be the last election. That is my prediction”, Musk stated, according to Hina.

However, it is a fact that Democrats, and many Republicans, have accused Trump of attempting to undermine the Constitution and the will of American voters by trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election, in which he lost to Joe Biden. Musk frequently promotes conspiracy theories and has long supported Trump while regularly criticizing his opponent, current Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump recently hinted that Musk could lead a committee to audit American finances if he wins the election.

“Musk should reduce government spending”, Trump said.

At the rally in Butler, security measures were visibly heightened, with armed police in camouflage uniforms positioned on surrounding rooftops. Trump lost Pennsylvania in the election four years ago, a key state for presidential elections in the U.S.
