“I WAS SHOUTING AT THE TV”: Jokić Reveals How He Followed Denver’s Games While Injured!

Nikola Jokić returned in Denver’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers and once again made NBA history as the first player to record more than 30 points and 10 rebounds in just 25 minutes. Speaking about his return, he revealed how he spent his time during the break when he was not traveling with the team, but instead followed the Nuggets’ games from his home.

Nikola Jokić appeared at the press conference after the win over the Clippers, and reporters were interested in what the break looked like and what he did when he was not able to help his teammates.

“Watching the games took a lot of energy out of me. I was shouting at the TV. I felt so emotionally drained after the games that only for the last two did I manage to watch them calmly,” the Serbian star said honestly.

“I was at 100 percent. Working with coach Felipe was so uncomfortable that I decided to speed up the recovery process just so I wouldn’t have to train with him anymore. That is the most honest answer I can give you,” said the Denver center and leader Nikola Jokić jokingly.

The best basketball player on the planet, who has remained in the race for the regular-season MVP award, emphasized the importance of proper preparation as a prerequisite for ensuring that the injury he sustained was not more serious.

“I truly believe that the one ‘from above’ protected me. He knows that I am righteous and that I do everything the right way. Honestly, I hoped He would protect me, and that is exactly what happened. I had no fear when making movements, and that was a clear sign that I was ready,” Jokić concluded.
