Novak Djokovic was supposed to take part in the Adelaide tournament, which is being held from January 12 to 17, as part of his preparations for the Australian Open.
However, the Serbian tennis player addressed fans on social media and pointed out that he is not physically ready to compete in this tournament.

“To all my fans in Adelaide.
Unfortunately, I am not quite physically ready to compete in the tournament next week. Personally, this is very disappointing for me, as I have fond memories of winning the title there two years ago. I was very excited to return, as it truly felt like playing at home. I am now focused on preparations for the Australian Open and look forward to arriving in Melbourne soon and seeing all the tennis fans in Australia,” Djokovic wrote.
The Australian Open will be held from January 18 to February 1.
