In the village of Jarčujak near Kraljevo, a horrific family tragedy occurred. Toni R. (56), in his family home, first killed his wife Jelena R. (50) with a crossbow, then injured his mother Grozdana R. (79), and afterward committed suicide with a shot from a hunting rifle.
It is presumed that Jelena R. succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the elderly woman managed to escape from the house. As we unofficially learn, she was transferred and treated at the General Hospital “Studenica” in Kraljevo.
Realizing, probably, what he had done, Toni R. took his own life with a shot from a hunting rifle.
According to unofficial information, the tragedy was preceded by a heated argument.
Members of the Police Department in Kraljevo and the competent authorities conducted an on-site investigation where the tragedy occurred. More details and the circumstances under which the murder and suicide took place will be known after the completion of the ongoing investigation.
