A 73-year-old woman from Serbia was pulled unconscious from the sea on the Kassandra peninsula in Greece, after which she was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Greek media reported.
Everything happened in Siviri, Halkidiki, a resort popular with Serbian tourists.
She was pulled from the sea on Wednesday at noon.
The Port Authority of Nea Moudania was immediately notified, and the 73-year-old was transported by EKAB ambulance to the Kassandra Health Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The Second Department of the Port of Nea Moudania, Central Port Authority of Thessaloniki, which is conducting a preliminary investigation, ordered an autopsy at the Forensic Medicine Service of Thessaloniki.
