Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Odžaci arrested S. K. (71) from that town on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder.
One of the victims, in addition to being stabbed with a knife, was also doused with gasoline.
According to reports, he is suspected of stabbing women aged seventy and eighty-three multiple times yesterday in Odžaci, while also pouring gasoline on one of them.
The injured women were transported to the General Hospital in Sombor.
The suspect has been detained for up to 48 hours and will, along with a criminal complaint, be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Sombor.
