Disturbing footage of a traffic accident in which a motorcyclist, traveling at high speed, hits a pedestrian in Novi Sad is spreading on social media. So far, there is no official information about the condition of the pedestrian, while Novi Sad media outlets report that he has died.
Despite a call and a clear inquiry about the condition of both participants in the accident, the University Clinical Center of Vojvodina provided the N1 team only with information about the motorcyclist’s condition, stating that he sustained minor injuries and, after receiving medical assistance, was discharged from the hospital.
According to information we received from the Emergency Medical Service, the pedestrian was brought alive to the Emergency Center in life-threatening condition, with multiple polytraumatic injuries.

According to the Clinical Center, the driver, born in 2004, was admitted to the institution on March 2. He was admitted with fractures, abrasions, and cuts, and was treated at the Department of Emergency Surgery, where he received full diagnostics and therapy.
After stabilization, he was referred for home treatment.
As N1 unofficially learns, the driver was detained after being discharged from the hospital. Claims have appeared on social media that he is a traffic police officer, and we are expecting answers regarding his status, as well as confirmation of these claims, from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
