Ivan L. (28) from Serbia has been arrested in Munich, Germany, on suspicion of stabbing his parents in their apartment.
According to German media, the attack occurred on Sunday at approximately 12:55 PM, when Ivan stabbed his mother (52) and father (53) multiple times with a knife.
The mother sustained injuries to her head, neck, and back, while her husband was stabbed in the arms and back. Ivan L. then fled the scene wearing bloodstained clothes. He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and dark pants.
His seriously injured mother managed to call emergency services. According to Bild, she was crying out that she could barely breathe.
Both parents were transported to the hospital with severe injuries, where they underwent surgery and survived, reports Republika.
During the search, three helicopters and around 50 police officers were deployed at various times. Bild reports that Ivan L. was apparently captured on a surveillance camera during his escape.

At 8:20 PM, Ivan L. was found unconscious on a street in Munich. However, Bild claims that he was only pretending to be unconscious—he was arrested after a seven-hour manhunt and taken to the hospital.
The motive for the attack remains unclear. Bild has learned that Ivan L. had recently shown apparent signs of mental health issues.
