The MMA national team of Serbia won 12 medals at the European Championship in Belgrade, which was held from February 5 to 15 in the “Aleksandar Nikolić” hall.
Out of a total of 12 medals, Serbia won one gold, six silver, and five bronze awards.
Medals for Serbia were won by Marko Ivković and Dževad Baltić in the senior competition, as well as Aleksa Čortan, Blažo Pušonjić, Mirko Dardić, David Magda, Nemanja Blagojević, Una Mihajlović, Amir Karišik, Jana Vučićević, Luka Tošović, and Vasilija Borovićanin in the younger categories.
-With this success, Serbia has reached a total of 44 medals in the last four years at major international competitions under the auspices of the IMMAF. Belgrade has once again justified its reputation as a host of major sports events, and the Serbian national team achieved an exceptional result, climbing the winner’s podium as many as twelve times during the EP in the ‘Aleksandar Nikolić’ hall, in all age categories.
-Organized by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and the MMA Federation of Serbia, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia – Ministry of Sport, the EP was realized, which once again confirmed that Belgrade is the center of European amateur MMA – it is stated in the announcement of the MMA Federation of Serbia.
