Serbian junior Greco-Roman wrestler Branko Đukić won a bronze medal at the European Championship for wrestlers under 20, which is being held in Italy.

Đukić absolutely deserved his medal in the under-87 kg category.

In the round of 16, he convincingly defeated Antonio Lukić from Croatia 7:0, only to be defeated 5:1 by Abdurakhman Abdulkadir from Russia in the quarterfinals.

Đukić still got a chance to fight for a medal through the repechage, where he was better than Yurik Petrosian from Armenia with a score of 3:2. In the decisive match for the bronze medal, he convincingly defeated Martin Ljosak from Norway 6:1, showing he has a bright future in senior competition.
