The University of Belgrade (UB) has ranked in 16 out of 55 scientific fields, according to the latest Shanghai Ranking by Academic Subjects for 2024.
This is a better result than last year when our largest and oldest university was ranked in 13 scientific fields, but it should be noted that the methodology was changed in this year’s ranking.
The best result for UB was achieved in mathematics, food science and technology, veterinary medicine, and metallurgical engineering, where it ranked between 101st and 150th place.

In chemistry, energy, agriculture, clinical medicine, public health, dentistry, and pharmacy, we are ranked between 201st and 300th place, in physics, biology, and psychology from 301st to 400th place, and in computer science and engineering, as well as in education from 401st to 500th place.
