German boxer Mario Daser was wounded in a shooting that occurred early this morning in a well-known restaurant in Belgrade, Blic reports. The shooting occurred around three o’clock after midnight in Knez Danilova Street, and M. A. (31) was with the boxer, who was seriously injured.
The duty prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade was taken to the scene for an investigation with the police. The police are searching for two unknown persons.
The attackers were allegedly filmed by nearby cameras, and after the shooting, Operation “Whirlwind” was launched.
Daser was wounded in the legs, and his friend brought him to the Emergency Center by private car. Shortly afterwards, M.A. was also brought by private car with injuries to his neck and arm.

Mario Daser is 37 years old and a former German professional boxer who held the WBO European cruiserweight title in 2017. The German had 13 fights from 2009 to 2017 and won them all. He also finished six by knockout.
Three years ago, there was talk of him returning to the ring, but Daser had already clearly changed his career and moved into the prefabricated house construction industry. German media claim that Daser is a millionaire.
