A fire in the reeds between Rakovac and Beočin has affected about 10 hectares, and members of the Novi Sad and Beočin Fire and Rescue Units are on the ground. The fire spread all the way to the Danube.

The fire, as stated by the Ministry of Interior, was reported at 18:30, and firefighters arrived at the scene at 18:45.

Eleven firefighter-rescuers with six vehicles are intervening, with the help of voluntary fire brigades from Petrovaradin, Bukovac, Rumenka, Budisava and Laza Kostić with 30 firefighters and seven vehicles.

The power distribution company has shut off electricity on the power line in the fire zone. There are no endangered buildings.

According to posts by citizens on social networks, the fire is also visible from Novi Sad.
