FARMERS DO NOT GIVE UP ON TOTAL BLOCKADE: Traffic stopped on about 80 roads across Serbia!

Farmer associations that are protesting are beginning today at 10 a.m. a total, multi-hour blockade of about 80 main, regional, and local roads in Serbia, due to the poor state of agriculture which they evaluate as – catastrophic.

The Ibarska highway in the village of Mrčajevci near Čačak (which began on February 11) will remain under a total 24-hour blockade, as well as roads in the towns of Bogatić, Zavalka, Lunovo selo, Cerovac, the intersection in Bresnica, the Kragujevac-Gornji Milanovac main road, and the exit to Račanski road.

Starting at 10 a.m., farmers will block the road in the town of Kisač, the M7 main road, the checkpoint at the exit from Kikinda, and the Kikinda – Zrenjanin road.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., they will block the old Čačak-Kraljevo road, the center in Gruža, roads in Mali Zvornik and Obrenovac, and the Obrenovac-Ub main road, while the Požarevac-Majdanpek regional road and the Požarevac-Kladovo road will be blocked from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Novi Sad-Subotica road, the Zrenjanin-Novi Sad main road near the town of Aradac, and Takovo-Gornji Milanovac will be blocked.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Belgrade-Zrenjanin main road near Čenta and the Zrenjanin-Žitište road in the town of Klek will be blocked, as well as the road in the town of Vladimirovci and the center in Smederevska Palanka.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., farmers will block the intersections of Šabac-Loznica, Valjevo-Bela Crkva, Novo Selo, and the Loznica-Šabac main road.

From 11 a.m. until further notice, the Kragujevac-Kraljevo and Kragujevac-Čačak roads will be blocked.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., roads will be blocked in the towns of Kuzmin, Kumane, Ruma, Čenej, Nova Crnja, Krčedin, Čelarevo, Bašaid, Stara Pazova, Padina, Vlajkovac, Tovarište, Vilovo, Bački Petrovac, the center and intersection in Srbobran, the Drenovac-Šabac roads, Šabac-Mačvanska Mitrovica, Mladenovac-Drapšin, and the road to Belgrade.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Valjevo-Pričević road will be blocked.

Starting at 12 p.m., the blockade of the Belgrade-Pančevo-Timișoara main road and roads in Zaklopača, Vitanovac, the Sremska Mitrovica – Bogatić road, and roads in the towns of Klenj, Badovinci, Salaš Crnobarski, Banovo polje, Ravnje, Resnik-Kragujevac will begin and will last until further notice.

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the road in the town of Gornja Sabanta will be blocked.

Starting at 1 p.m., roads in the town of Susek and the Novi Sad-Sremska Mitrovica-border with Croatia intersection will be blocked.

The farmers’ protest was supported by students and war veterans.
