“With the support of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, an agreement was reached today in Riyadh by which the Arab Republic of Syria recognizes the Republic of Kosovo, announced the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani on her Facebook profile.

Osmani pointed out that the peoples of Kosovo and Syria have suffered and sacrificed a lot for freedom, N1 reports.

“This recognition is not only a matter of state sovereignty but also a recognition of the sacrifices of many generations for a free life. We thank the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia for enabling this historic act,” Osmani stated.

Since the declaration of independence, Kosovo has been recognized by 120 countries.
