After two tropical weeks, Serbia eagerly awaits cooler days! Moreover, for the first time this year, most likely on Tuesday, we will be at the highest risk of extreme stormy weather, announced Hailz Serbia.
According to the announcement, for now, the region north of the Sava and Danube rivers and the area 50-70 kilometers south of the Sava and Danube are the path for storm systems moving in a southwesterly current.
Strong and extreme vertical wind shear over a large area, with present instability, will allow for the formation of long-lived storm systems that could travel hundreds of kilometers at speeds of 70-100 km/h towards Romania.

A pronounced trough will initiate storms west of Serbia, and a mixture of large supercells and linear convective systems is expected on their further path towards Romania.
Conditions support hurricane-force wind gusts of up to 140 km/h within linear systems and giant hail, on a smaller area, up to 10 cm in diameter in the case of isolated supercells, which can be wind-driven. This situation will be closely monitored over the next two days, and the stated predictions are preliminary.
Before the Pannonian Plain, such strong storms will first be recorded in northern Italy on Sunday and Monday.
