Vice President of the Government and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić stated tonight that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Criminal Police Directorate, the Targeted Search Department, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, after several months of operational processing, arrested Marko Daničić (24) in Grocka, for whom an international warrant of the Republic of Serbia was issued due to the commission of the criminal offense of aggravated murder and the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder of Stefan Savić, an MMA fighter.
-Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Criminal Police Directorate, the Targeted Search Department, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, after several months of operational processing, arrested M. D. (24) in Grocka, for whom an international warrant of the Republic of Serbia was issued due to the commission of the criminal offense of aggravated murder and the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder of S. S. (2024) – MMA fighter – stated Dačić.
A prison sentence of a maximum of 40 years is prescribed for the stated offenses.
M. D., using the ID card of his brother D. D. issued in the Republic of Croatia, entered Serbia from the territory of Croatia on February 10, 2026, and hid until the moment of his arrest in Belgrade.
-The arrest of M. D. is a continuation of the action when police officers of the Targeted Search Department – FAST team of Serbia, in intensive and long-term cooperation with the FAST teams of France, Romania, Hungary, and Spain, arrested V. G. in January, in Barcelona for the same offense – stated Minister Dačić.
