EGYPTIAN SARA WAS BAPTIZED IN THE OSTROG MONASTERY: After the holy act, she bowed to the relics of Saint Vasilije of Ostrog! (PHOTO)

Sara Gabr from Egypt was baptized on Saturday in the Ostrog monastery.

On Saturday, August 23, on the feast of the Holy Archdeacon and Martyr Lawrence, the servant of the Lord, Sara Gabr from Egypt, was baptized and anointed with chrism, said Hadži Mr. Aleksandar Vujović, a professor at the Seminary of Saint Peter of Cetinje, and the “IN4S” portal reported.

The godmother at the baptism was Mariam Nabil, also from Egypt.

Sara was baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and enlightened by the eternal light of Christ, right in the holiest place in Montenegro, in the Ostrog monastery.

-In the church of Saint New-Martyr Stanko and next to his holy incorruptible relics and next to the relics of the new-martyrs of Ostrog, the defenders of the monastery, the holy sacraments of baptism and chrismation were performed by Archpriest Jordan Markov from Macedonia, a cleric of the Metropolis of Budimlje-Nikšić.

The theologian Boban Vesić sang at the baptism. For the church of God, as well as for the saints of Christ and the faithful members of one Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, there are no borders – the portal reports.

This was confirmed in this holy act when Sara became a member of the church of God in this holy place, in our Serbian Mount Zion, the new Mount Zion, the Ostrog monastery.

-After the act of baptism and chrismation was completed, Archpriest Jordan Markov instructed Sara and her godmother Mariam, giving them a blessing to be a faithful child of the Church of God in their further life. With the holy sacrament of baptism, she was born in the church for a new life in Christ and, with her godmother, she received the grace of the Holy Spirit – states the “IN4S” portal.

Then the newly baptized Sara and her godmother Mariam went to the upper monastery and bowed to the relics of Saint Vasilije of Ostrog the Wonderworker, taking the blessing of one of the greatest saints of the Serbian people.

Having left blessed, from the Ostrog sanctuary from Montenegro for Egypt, in their heart and being they carried the Ostrog miracle of community in Christ.
