Health care workers are protesting in front of the prison on Klisa in Novi Sad due to the arrest of their colleague, a doctor, as well as a student of the Faculty of Medicine, which happened last night during a protest in that city.
Health care workers gathered in front of the prison on Klisa due to the arrest of Dr. Predrag Stanić from the Clinical Center of Vojvodina and MFNS student Miljana Antić.
Doctors in front of the prison on Klisa are chanting: “Peco, we’re here,” N1 reports.
The doctor, who was in the first aid service during the protest, was detained last night. He was ordered to be held for up to 48 hours.
He is a surgeon at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, who last night provided assistance to the injured at the protest, and had visible markings of the first aid team.
According to the data of the Crisis Center of the Free University, 13 students were detained last night.
Nine of them were released by the morning.
