Serbia’s best tennis player, Novak Đoković, unfortunately, will not play in the Roland Garros final. Jannik Sinner managed to stop him on his path to dreams in Paris, eliminating him tonight in three sets in the semi-finals on “Philippe Chatrier.” The Italian was simply an unsolvable enigma – 0:3 (4:6, 5:7, 6:7)!
Novak Đoković and Jannik Sinner fought in every single game, displaying an incredible level of play at times, but it was clear that our ace had certain problems creating break opportunities.
Every time he tried, the Italian would mostly escape in incredible ways, and when the situation was reversed, it seemed that Sinner managed to break Novak’s serve more easily.
The first set started somewhat as we wished, quite evenly. Novak held his serve twice, although he didn’t threaten Sinner, and then an unpleasant surprise occurred.
Like a bolt from the blue, Sinner got a break point and managed to break Novak’s serve. He then routinely held his serves until the end and eventually took a 1:0 lead.

The second set was very similar to the first. Novak managed to hold on until the middle of this part of the game, and then Sinner again managed to break his serve in a similar fashion. The Italian had only one break point then and went from 2:3 to 5:3 in his favor.
However, when he was serving to take a 2:0 lead, Nole briefly stopped him, reaching 15:40 and winning that game. But when everything needed to be confirmed and he was to take a 6:5 lead, Sinner again managed to break his serve, even though Novak had a 40:15 advantage.
After that, there was no chance for Đoković to break serve again; Sinner took a 2:0 lead in sets, and in the meantime, physiotherapists appeared on the court for Novak Đoković, so we had a medical timeout during the break between the second and third sets.
The third set was already a fierce battle, and unlike the first and second, there was no break in the middle. Novak missed the biggest opportunity when Sinner was serving to stay in this part of the game, as he missed three set points at that moment.
It went to a tie-break. There, Jannik Sinner took an early 3:0 lead and established a mini-break advantage, which made it easier for him to dictate the pace in this decisive game.
In the end, he advanced, and in the final on Sunday at 3:00 PM, he will face Carlos Alcaraz from Spain, who is also the reigning Roland Garros champion.
