The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated in Banja Luka that his message to Russian President Vladimir Putin will be that Russia should take its rightful place as a guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
He said that Russia “knows that this agreement has been undermined and has lost its meaning” and that there is an attempt in Bosnia and Herzegovina to, as he put it, legalize an anti-Dayton situation.
“The situation in BiH is exclusively tied to the defense of the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution of BiH,” Dodik told Radio-Television of Republika Srpska (RTRS) when asked what message Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić will convey to Putin tomorrow.

According to him, there is no internal consensus in BiH, adding that no agreement has been the result of domestic compromise.
“We cannot accept that legal procedures recognize something that is not in accordance with the Dayton Agreement,” Dodik stated.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska “is not some kind of rebel or separatist group, as some are trying to portray it.”
