The health condition of the Minister of Interior and leader of the Socialists, Ivica Dačić, who was hospitalized due to bilateral pneumonia, is stable this morning but still serious, said the doctor in charge of his treatment, Spasoje Popević, assistant director of the Pulmonology Clinic of the Clinical Center of Serbia.
“He is still in a serious health condition. The fight continues, he is on mechanical ventilation and at this moment we have managed to stabilize his condition. It is too early to predict anything. At this moment the situation is more stable than it was during yesterday’s address,” Popević stated, as reported by Kurir.
Popević appealed to the media to show understanding for Dačić’s family and all his friends.
Popević also said that the public will be regularly informed in the morning and in the evening about Dačić’s condition.

The doctor’s words that Dačić’s condition is “somewhat better” were also conveyed by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who visited him this morning before departing for a visit to Kazakhstan.
“Doctors say the condition is somewhat better. I believe in him, and now heading to Kazakhstan for great results for our Serbia,” Vučić stated in a video from the plane, shared on Instagram.
Dačić was admitted to the hospital yesterday, where inflammation of both lungs was diagnosed.
Vučić allegedly urged him to urgently go to the hospital after noticing that Dačić was having difficulty breathing at a commemoration marking the death of former Yugoslav Foreign Minister and Socialist Party of Serbia official Vladislav Jovanović, reports Beta.
