Denver basketball players miraculously managed to record a victory against Philadelphia with 125:124 in the NBA league after overtime.

The match was decided in the last second after an excellent defensive reaction by the Nuggets, and then a fast counterattack that Bruce Brown converted into points.

And not just in any way, but because the referees ruled that the ball first touched the backboard, and only then did Joel Embiid block that shot.

The famous „goaltending“ rule decided the winner.

Take a look at the situation the NBA is buzzing about.

Denver played without Nikola Jokić, Aaron Gordon, Jonas Valančiūnas, Christian Braun, Cam Johnson, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Jamal Murray and in the end somehow managed to celebrate. To the pride of all of Colorado.

Bruce Brown scored 19 points, while Jalen Pickett led the decimated Denver Nuggets with 29 points to a 125:124 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night.

Embiid was whistled for a crucial „goaltending“ when he tried to block Brown’s layup on the run 5.3 seconds before the end. Tyrese Maxey missed a shot for the win from mid-range in the very finish.

Embiid scored 32 points – the fourth time in the last eight games that he exceeded the 30-point mark – while Maxey added 28.

The Nuggets played without three-time MVP Nikola Jokić, who will be off the court at least until the end of the month due to a left knee strain, as well as without Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun and several other players, just a night after a loss to Brooklyn.

The entire standard starting five was resting, and Denver only had nine players available.

Peyton Watson added 24 points for Denver.

The Nuggets did not allow their shortened rotation to be an excuse to surrender against the Sixers.

Hunter Tyson hit a shot with a foul for four points that gave Denver a 102:100 lead in the fourth quarter, and then Pickett hit a floater, which forced the 76ers into a timeout and marked the peak of a 14:0 run.

Brown broke the tie with a three-pointer, and then hit two of three free throws for a 120:115 lead, after being fouled on a three-point shot in the next attack. That miss in the middle ultimately cost Denver the victory in regulation.
