The crisis at Partizan could soon claim its first “victim” among the players: center Tyrique Jones. The American has fallen out of favor with the fans following the departure of head coach Željko Obradović, largely due to a perceived lack of effort and missing games due to an alleged injury.
Jones recently engaged in a verbal altercation with individual fans following a loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv. For days, speculation has been rife that he will leave the club on Humska Street.

Jones’s latest move has only added fuel to the fire. He has removed all photos of himself in Partizan gear from his Instagram profile.
The deadline for a potential parting of ways with the “Black-and-Whites” is January 5. It remains to be seen whether Tyrique will end up at Olympiacos, Dubai BC, Maccabi, or another EuroLeague club. After everything that has transpired, remaining in a Partizan jersey seems like a “mission impossible.”
