In a major anti-corruption operation, two women whose husbands are at the “top” of the “Borac” football club were also arrested.
Kristina Bulatović, the wife of the director of this football club from Lazarevac, was arrested together with her husband, Dejan Bulatović.
Katarina Marinković, whose husband, the arrested Ivan Marinković, is also a former president of that club, was also arrested.

The Chief Public Prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, Nenad Stefanović, stated that there is a reasonable suspicion that they abused their official position and powers in connection with public procurements for JP EPS and damaged that JP for more than 100 million dinars, in which amount they acquired illegal property gain for themselves and others.
“Some of the accused are also charged with giving and receiving bribes in the form of monetary gifts, which they further concealed by committing the criminal offense of money laundering,” Stefanović stated.
He emphasized that this is just the beginning of the large announced action to combat corruption and added that he expects further realizations in the coming days, about which the public will be duly informed afterwards.
